Position: Full Professor with responsibilities as Department Chairperson
Location: Waterloo, ON
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually (To be negotiated) / 35 hours per week
Overview
Our client is seeking applications for a Full Professor position with some duties as a Department Chairperson. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer. The employer accepts applications from:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada
- Other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit
Responsibilities
- Advise on research matters
- Advise students on course and academic matters and career decisions
- Conduct laboratory sessions
- Conduct research in field of specialization
- Conduct seminars and discussion groups
- Direct research programs of graduate students
- May serve on faculty committees dealing with institutional policies and academic issues
- Prepare special lectures and presentations for conferences and consultations
- Prepare, administer, and grade assigned work
- Teach one or more university subjects
- Perform administrative tasks
