Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Family Physician. We welcome applications from international candidates as immigration support may be available for the right applicant.

Job Details

• Location: Calgary, AB
• Work Location: On-site
• Salary: $250,000 to $450,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Morning, Evening, Weekend
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Advise patients on health care
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
• Be the patient advocate
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
• Provide acute care management
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Certification: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
