Job Details

• Location: 7100 Pacific Cir, Mississauga, ON, L5T 2A6
• Work location: On site
• Salary: $28.50 hourly for 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Overtime required, Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend

Responsibilities

• Maintain work records and logs
• Monitor personnel workloads and locations
• Perform general office duties
• Provide customer service
• Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
• Assist with maintenance of communications equipment
• Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
• Dispatch personnel in emergency situations
• Follow up on issues with work orders
• Keep track of shipments
• Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations
• Process and transmit information to co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews
• Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
• Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators and crews

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in trucking
• Languages Required: English
• Computer and Technology Knowledge: Dispatch management software, GPS and navigation equipment, MS Windows
• Work Environment: Attention to detail, fast-paced, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines
