Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Production Technician in the pharmaceutical industry. This position offers an opportunity for candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, to contribute in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Job Details

• Location: Hamilton, ON
• Work Location: On-site
• Salary: $28.00 to $33.00 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Overtime: Required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and conduction of chemical experiments.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Utilize MS Office for reporting and documentation.
• Develop programs for sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards.
• Compile and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• Operate experimental chemical or petrochemical pilot plants.
• Prepare solutions of gas or liquid, reagents, and sample formulations.

Qualifications

Education

• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Experience in a similar role is an asset.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with analytical techniques, including radiochemistry or neutron activation methods.
• Knowledge in quality assurance and control and industrial health and safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Ability to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Transportation and Security

• Own transportation required; public transportation is available.
• Bondable; basic security clearance and criminal record check required.

Work Conditions

• Work primarily indoors with varying physical demands.
• Standing for extended periods may be required.
