Our client is seeking a truck trailer mechanic for a permanent full-time position located in Abbotsford, BC. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates.

Job Details

• Salary: $36.65 hourly (35 to 40 hours per week)
• Work Location: On site
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Evening

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Test and adjust units to specifications
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English
• Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
• Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
• Personal Suitability: Flexibility, Reliability
