Our client is offering a permanent full-time welder position in Mississauga, ON, with a competitive pay rate of $36.50 per hour. Immigration support may be available for suitable candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Overview

• Languages Required: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Work Environment: Outdoors, Dusty, Noisy

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, manuals, and processes
• Examine welds to ensure standards are met
• Operate flame-cutting equipment
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
• Fabricate or repair metal parts and products
• Monitor robotic welding production line
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
