Our client is seeking a Truck Driver to join their team. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified applicants.

Job Details

• Location: Brampton, ON
• Salary: $36.20 per hour (35 to 50 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full time
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available
• Benefits: Health care plan and Vision care benefits, Night shift premium, Parking available
• Vacancies: 4 vacancies

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS or other navigation devices.
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition and perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and manage all aspects of the vehicle.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
• Required Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Personal Suitability: Reliability, Team player.

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding and repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to relocate and travel cross-border.
• Driver’s validity licence check and driving record check necessary.
