Our client is seeking a skilled Cook to join their team. This position is open to both Canadian residents and international candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

Job Details

• Location: #31-900 Gibsons Way, Gibsons, BC, V0N 1V7
• Work Setting: On-site
• Salary: $25.00 to $37.00 hourly (To be negotiated), 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Special Commitments: Night, Weekend, To be determined

Responsibilities

• Determine the size of food portions and costs.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
• Prepare special meals as instructed by the dietitian or chef.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Maintain inventory and records of food and supplies.
• Clean kitchen and work areas.
• Manage kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in a similar role.
• Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine.
• Personal Suitability: Team player.
