Our client is seeking a Long Haul Truck Driver. This role is open to applicants, including those who are other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Immigration support may be available for qualified applicants seeking to work in Canada.

Job Details

• Location: Abbotsford, BC
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $35.00 per hour (40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Early mornings, evenings, weekends, on call, flexible hours, overtime available
• Vacancy: 1 position

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes using GPS and navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption
• Address customer complaints or concerns
• Expertise in mountain driving
• Load and unload goods
• Obtain permits and documents for cargo transport on international routes
• Inspect vehicle conditions and equipment
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
• Record cargo data, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Certification: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
