Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Truck Trailer Mechanic based in Summerside, PE. Visa sponsorship may be available for overseas candidates, including support for candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated), 48 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Location: On-site
• Vacancies: 2

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
• Discuss work with supervisor
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
• Road test motor vehicles
• Perform scheduled maintenance service
• Prepare and track work orders
• Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and motors

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma; Medium/heavy vehicle and truck technology/technician
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Languages: English or French

Credentials

• Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
• Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification
• Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
• Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
