Our client is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator (E.C.E.) for their childcare center. We welcome international applicants and offer immigration support for the right candidates.

Job Details

• Location: Halifax, NS
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $24.06 to $25.93 hourly (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day shifts
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the development of children.
• Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• Assist in carrying out programs for children’s developmental needs.
• Lead activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and excursions.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Keep records and assist in maintaining documentation.
• Encourage creativity through various activity forms.
• Prepare snacks and arrange environments for children.
• Observe children for potential learning or behavioral issues.
• Discuss child progress at staff meetings.
• Plan activities for school-age children before and after school hours.

Requirements

• Education: College/CEGEP in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience: Experience in a relevant field is an asset.
• Certificates: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
• Security: Criminal record check required.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
