Our client is seeking skilled hairstylists. We welcome applications from both Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents, as well as other candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit. Visa sponsorship options may be available for qualified applicants.

• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $18.03 to $20.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
• Special Commitments: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
• Shampoo customers’ hair
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Provide other hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost, or streak hair
• Apply hair extensions
• Style hair by cutting, trimming, tapering, curling, waving, or perming
• Suggest hairstyles compatible with client’s physical features and preferences

Qualifications

• Hairstylist License required
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Languages: English

Work Environment

• Work in an urban area, specifically a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio
