Overview

Our client is seeking skilled carpenters to join their team. We offer immigration support for potential candidates.

Education and Experience

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join various materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials

• Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding; handling heavy loads; combination of sitting, standing, walking
