Our client is seeking a Cook’s Helper to join their team in Sherbrooke, QC. Visa sponsorship may be considered for qualified candidates, including those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Sherbrooke, QC
• Work setting: On-site, Restaurant
• Salary: $33,500 to $38,500 annually (to be negotiated), 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
• Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Place dishes in storage area
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Package take-out food
• Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Use appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months preferred
• Languages: French
