Our client is seeking a General Machinist based in Cambridge, ON. Job Details

• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $35.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

• Special Commitments: Day, Shift, Overtime available

Qualifications

• Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
• Experience: 5 years or more
• Languages: English

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
• Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
• Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
• Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Required Skills and Experience

• Measuring Tools Experience: Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Gauges, Verniers
• Equipment and Machinery Experience: Boring machines, Drill presses, Milling machines, Surface grinders, Tool grinders, Universal grinders

Working Conditions

• Tight deadlines
• Standing for extended periods
• Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs), More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
• Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
