Job Overview

Our client is seeking a General Farm Worker – Livestock. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Norwood, ON
• Work Location: On site
• Salary: $20.00 hourly (40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Vacancies: 4

Responsibilities

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• Handle animals, marking livestock as proof of ownership.
• Mix fertilizers and monitor the calving process.
• Monitor animal health and perform weeding.
• Fertilize and spray crops; harvest crops; feed and tend to animals.
• Maintain financial and production records.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting.
• Maintain livestock performance and quality control records.
• Select livestock for sale and oversee breeding programs.
• Perform general farm duties and cut horticultural crops.
• Sort fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.

Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
• Experience: Will train.
• Languages: English.
