• Work Hours: 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Special Commitments: Early morning, Morning, Weekend, Shift

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Sous-Chef with experience in Italian cuisine. This role is vital in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards in food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.
• Supervise activities of chefs, cooks, and kitchen workers.
• Create new recipes and instruct cooks in food preparation and presentation.
• Prepare food for regular customers and special events.
• Train staff on food preparation and safety.

Experience and Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP, or diploma (3 months – less than 1 year)
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
• Certificates: Cook Trade Certification, WHMIS Certificate, Food Safety Certificate.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Requires standing for extended periods and working under pressure.
