Job Overview

Our client is seeking a long haul truck driver to join their team. This position is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate.

• Location: Surrey, BC

• Salary: $36.60 per hour (40 to 50 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Education and Experience

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Experience: Experience an asset

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment and GPS
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Inspect vehicle condition and perform maintenance as required
• Record cargo, distance travelled, and fuel consumption

Requirements

• Licence: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
• Type of Trucking: Tractor-trailer
• Travel Experience: Long-haul
