Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Personal Support Worker for nursing care, offering potential visa sponsorship for international applicants, including candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Job Details

• Location: Wingham, ON
• Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Salary: $28.00 per hour, 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
• Supply and empty bed pans; take patients’ vital signs
• Transport patients between care facilities and assist with their mobility
• Bathe, dress, and groom patients; assist with personal care
• Administer first aid in emergencies and maintain inventory of supplies

Qualifications

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year) or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Certificates: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate
• Criminal record check is required
