Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant. This role is open to candidates, with or without a valid Canadian work permit, and visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidates.

• Salary: $25.00 hourly (35 to 40 hours per week)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning

Qualifications

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
• Certificates: Child development assistant (ECE level 1)

Responsibilities

• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.
• Maintain daycare equipment.
• Engage children in storytelling and crafts.
• Assist early childhood educators in promoting development programs.
• Guide children in developing proper habits.
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for activities.
• Submit written observations on children.
• Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress.
