Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Landscaping Foreman/Woman with the following qualifications:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 to 2 years in relevant field

Work Site Environment

• Outdoors
• At heights
• Hot and cold conditions

Responsibilities

• Direct planting of trees, gardens, and lawns
• Hire, supervise, and schedule staff
• Organize and direct grounds maintenance
• Plan and estimate labour and materials
• Manage landscape construction projects
• Read blueprints and designs
• Resolve work-related issues and provide technical advice
• Establish work schedules and procedures

Supervision

• Supervise 5-10 staff members

Required Skills and Equipment

• Experience with backhoe, chain saw, and small engine equipment
• Knowledge in lawn care, grounds maintenance, and landscape construction

Additional Information

• Criminal record check and driver’s validity licence check are required
• Transportation: Valid driver’s licence, vehicle supplied by employer
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle heavy loads
