We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to step into the role of Nurse Manager at our client’s supportive and warm senior care home in Victoria, BC. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, collect samples, dress wounds, and report patient progress and reactions to treatment.
  • Provide leadership to our team through recruitment and the employee journey.
  • Advocate for patient needs and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide outstanding treatment.
  • Manage nursing schedules to ensure continuity of care, handling call-ins and vacation requests.

    • Qualifications:

  • 5+ years leadership experience.
  • Fully capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of an LPN.
  • Valid LPN license from BCCNM.
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program.
  • Well-rounded leadership experience.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Medical certificate verifying physical, mental, and emotional suitability for the position.
  • TB Test clearance.
  • BC Criminal Records Review Program Clearance.

    • Skills and Abilities:

  • A minimum of one year of experience with individuals with physical and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to lead by example, coach, and mentor the team.
  • Strong collaborative team player.
  • Demonstrated compassion and clear communication skills.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.

    • Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stoop.
  • Proven capability to stretch, lift, and walk regularly.
  • Other physical abilities as required to perform the duties of the position.
