Utilizing clinical software, diverse databases, and clinical protocols, you will evaluate, triage, and counsel patients dealing with various concerns. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. You will teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, playing a leadership role in supporting an integrated approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.

Pay Scale:Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $39.58/hour – $54.16/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the pay rate will be adjusted accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• For those who have not practiced as a Registered Nurse in the last five years, completion of required courses will be necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of three to five years’ recent experience as a registered nurse in a clinical setting.
• Experience in a variety of clinical areas requiring high levels of independent assessment skills.
• Ability to deal with stress in a high call volume contact center.
• Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Experience interacting with clients over the telephone is also preferred.
