Responsibilities

• Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
• Assign projects to subordinates relating to employment, compensation, and labor relations
• Coordinate HR department activities to meet organizational goals
• Direct daily operations and staff
• Evaluate and motivate staff
• Plan and control budgets and expenditures
• Implement human resources policies and programs
• Train staff and advise on HR policies and benefits
• Mediating labor disputes and grievances
• Prepare occupational classifications and job descriptions
• Manage contracts and training strategies
• Oversee employee data analysis and reporting
• Negotiate collective agreements
• Oversee payroll administration and customer service
• Recruit, hire staff, and conduct performance reviews
• Propose improvements to methods and procedures

Qualifications

Education

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma (1 to 2 years)

Experience

• 2 to less than 3 years

Language

• English

• Reliable with the ability to multitask
