Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Family Physician for permanent full-time employment. Visa sponsorship is available, giving opportunities for international candidates.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• Examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and reshape their approach to wellness.
• Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate physical and mental health.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• Participate in healthcare policy and planning.
• Advise patients on healthcare.
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities.
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care.
• Provide counseling and support on a range of health issues.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.

Credentials

• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Work Environment

• Work setting: Private practice and clinic.
• On-site work is required; remote options are not available.

Job Location

• Location: Ottawa, ON.

Compensation

• Salary: $200,000 to $300,000 (annually, to be negotiated).
• Work hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
