Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE or ECE IT) to lead our Preschool group (ages 3–5 years). This is a small, close-knit group of 8 children, and we are looking for an educator with experience leading preschool-aged groups. The ideal candidate is nurturing, creative, and familiar with BC licensing rules and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant learning environment.

We are happy to support BC PNP or LMIA applications for the right candidate.

Position Details:

• Work Term: Permanent
• Language: English
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years in BC or equivalent
• Setting: Licensed Child Care Centre

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement programs that promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, and local outings.
• Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and movement.
• Guide children in developing healthy habits in eating, dressing, and toileting.
• Observe and assess each child’s development and communicate regularly with families and colleagues.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure daily practices are in line with licensing requirements and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with team members and community partners.

Requirements:

• Valid ECE or ECE IT certification in BC.
• Strong understanding of BC child care licensing regulations.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Up-to-date immunization records.

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00-$31.00 per hour
