Our client is seeking experienced drivers for dump trucks. This position offers the possibility of visa sponsorship for qualified overseas candidates.

• Location: Abbotsford, BC

• Salary: $37.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
• Special Commitments: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning

Responsibilities

• Address customers’ complaints or concerns
• Mountain driving expertise
• Professionalism in customer service
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform vehicle inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck
• Communicate with central dispatch
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• Experience is an asset

Credentials

• Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Skills

• Documentation knowledge including accident reports and driver logbooks
• Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck
• Communication systems experience: GPS operation

• Valid passport required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Attention to detail
• Physically demanding work; must handle weights over 45 kg (100 lbs)
• Repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods
