Job Overview

We are seeking an automobile service mechanic for our client. This permanent, full-time position is located in London, ON. Responsibilities

• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Discuss work with supervisor.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect motor in operation.
• Review work orders.
• Road test motor vehicles.
• Test automotive systems and components.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Provide customer service.
• Replace oil, air and fuelfilters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a relevant field.
• Certification: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification required.

Work Conditions

• We are looking for candidates who are willing to relocate.
• Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and standing for extended periods.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required.

Salary and Work Hours

The hourly wage for this position is $24.00, with an expectation of 44 hours per week.
