Our client is seeking a Hairstylist for their barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio located in Richmond, BC. Visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate, including support for those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: 8010 Saba Rd suite 125, Richmond, BC, V6Y 4B2
• Workplace Information: On-site
• Salary: $18.00 per hour / 30 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Committments: Day, Evening, Weekend

Responsibilities

• Analyze hair and scalp condition.
• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences.
• Shampoo customers’ hair.
• Provide hair treatments such as waving, straightening, and tinting, including scalp conditioning massages.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses for hair coloring.
• Apply hair extensions.
• Clean and style wigs and hair pieces.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• Suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features.
• Perform receptionist duties as needed.

Experience and Specialization

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in hairstyling.
• Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents, roller setting.
• Hair Colouring Techniques: Dyes/tints.
