Our client is currently seeking a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with an opportunity for visa sponsorship for overseas candidates. We encourage applications from those with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

• Location: 2-308 suite Unit 2, Port Hawkesbury, NS, B9A 2B8
• Workplace Information: On-site
• Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time
• Work Conditions: Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning shifts available
• Vacancies: 1

Responsibilities

• Consult with other health care professionals when developing treatment plans for clients.
• Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint pain management.
• Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests; propose treatment plans.
• Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
• Maintain records of treatments given.
• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.

Education and Experience

• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

Certificates and Licenses

• Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.

Additional Information

• Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
• Transportation/Travel: Own transportation necessary.
• Work Conditions: Manual dexterity required; physically demanding; must be able to stand for extended periods.
