Tasks
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment or navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Provide professionalism in customer service.
- Oversee vehicle conditions and inspect equipment.
- Manage payments for goods.
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee vehicle aspects.
- Carry out preventive maintenance.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Record cargo information, service hours, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure safety and security of cargo.
