Position: Plumber

Location: 1590 Bellevue Ave, West Vancouver, BC, V7V 1A7

Salary: $37.85 per hour / 40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-Time

Overview

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Languages: English

Work Conditions: Physically demanding; requires bending, crouching, and kneeling. Able to handle heavy loads and work under pressure. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Repair plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints and specifications
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Instruct apprentices
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe fittings
• Join pipes using various methods
• Test pipes for leaks
• Determine piping system requirements
• Estimate costs and materials
• Operate CADD and other software
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes
